Our May meeting took place on the 21st at the Cloverdale Middle School. The meeting was called to order by President Ray Baker.
NEXT MEETING-Monday, June 25th at 7:00PM at the Twin Ponds Activity Center(located on the old FunFest grounds---Turn west on Stardust Hills Road by FNB and it is on the right---it was most recently used to house the Cloverdale Township Fire Dept).!—Please plan to attend!
>Elections-Ray REMINDED everyone that it was past time to start putting together the slate of officers for elections. A couple of the current officers are wanting a rest, so please contact Ray or Todd if you are interested in finding out more about one of the positions.
>Dues-Dues are all now paid through July—most are paid through the end of the year. THANKS!
>Photoscreening- The club conducted a screening at the Cloverdale Elementary on Friday, April 27th. 18 children were screened. Thanks to Tom Woodley, Todd Lewis, Dave Johnson, Ray Baker, Lisa Baker, Megan Skaggs, Charlie Jonte, and Daphne Rubeck for all their help.
>Track Food Booth- Pole day was May 12th. We took in $1846. That should make the club $240. We were only $2 over. We could be fined up to 2% for not having enough workers. After the event they said our booth was ran the best that day. Thanks to Todd Lewis, Sarah Lewis, Larry Haltom, Mac McLaughlin, Ted Bevens and Lyssa Baker for the help. The Brickyard is on Sunday, 7/29-PLEASE BE READY TO SIGN UP!!!
>Rebuilding Together-The build day was Saturday, May 5. Lion Tom Woodley updated the club on a very successful first day!
>Adopt a Highway-The project was done on April 25th. Dave and Joyce Johnson, Tom Woodley, Todd Lewis, Jacob Saunders, Ray and Chauncey Baker cleaned our section of the Highway. Thanks to each one of them!
>Scholarships-The recipients of the Lions Club Scholarships have been selected. The committee of Charlie Simon, Dick Gaddis and Norv Gottula reported that Daphne Rubeck and Ryan Shoulders were presented the scholarships on May 23rd. Thanks to the committee for their good work!
>Entertainment-None
