Our February 2009 meeting took place on the 16th at the First National Bank.  The meeting was called to order by President Larry Haltom. Cajun Billy’s Catering served up some great grub again for our club.

>Dues-We now have 15 members and 10 have already paid their dues for the year, so we are off to a great start.  Invoices have been sent to those that still need to pay.  The dues are $52 per year again this year.  The club has already paid the dues to the state and international organizations, so if you haven’t paid your dues yet, please ‘git er dun’.

 

>Replacement Road Signs- The new signs are in and ready to be hung along US231.  Larry said we would get them put up when the weather breaks. Todd checked with INDOT and they told us to go ahead and put them up since they are replacing existing ones.

 

>Photoscreening- Ray Baker is going to check with Jennifer Walters at the elementary school to see if we can do a screening before the end of the school year.

 

>Meeting Date- Several members will be out of town on our normal March night, so we will meet a week later on March 30.

 

>Elections-The election committee needs to put together the slate of officers for the upcoming elections.  The committee is made up of Todd, Ray and Mike.  It would be great to have the elections in March if at all possible.  If you are interested in an office, please let these guys know. 

 

>Track Update- The club agreed to do the food booth again this year. Our dates this year are 5/9, 5/24, 7/26, 8/28, 8/29, and 8/30.  This would cover Pole Day, Indy, Brickyard and 3 days of MotoGP.  We need 13 each day, so mark your calendar.  We also discussed taking on the ice cream booth.  The club agreed to talk to the Civic League to see if they wanted to do that.

 

>Rebuilding Together- Todd mentioned that the build day is scheduled for April 25(NOTE: since the meeting, it has been moved to May 2).  If anyone is interested, please contact Todd.
