Our March 2009 meeting took place on the 30th at the First National Bank.  The meeting

was called to order by President Larry Haltom. Cajun Billy’s Catering served up some

great grub again for our club.

>Dues-We now have 15 members and 13 have already paid their dues for the year, so we are

off to a great start.  Invoices have been sent to those that still need to pay.  The dues are $52 per

year again this year.  The club has already paid the dues to the state and international organizations,

so if you haven’t paid your dues yet, please ‘git er dun’.

 

>Replacement Road Signs/Adopt a Highway- The new signs are in and ready to be hung along

US231.  Larry said we would get them put up when we did Adopt a Highway. 

 

>Photoscreening- Ray Baker booked April 28 with the elementary school.  Todd talked to the

Methodist Daycare and they are willing to participate as well. 

 

>Elections-The election committee presented a slate of Officers and the club voted it in.

>Track Update- The club agreed to do the food booth again this year. Our dates this year are 5/9,

5/24, 7/26, 8/28, 8/29, and 8/30.  This would cover Pole Day, Indy, Brickyard and 3 days of

MotoGP.  We need 13 each day, so mark your calendar.  We declined taking on the ice cream

booth.  The club agreed to talk to the Civic League to see if they wanted to do that.  James McKee

and Rod Garrett volunteered to attend training.

 

>Scholarship Committee-Charlie and Norv were willing to serve again this year.

     

>Civic Award Committee-We need to start planning for October’s award.  Todd, Charlie,

Norv and Larry did it last year. 

                                                                                   

>Rebuilding Together- Build day is May 2.  We will start the last weekend of April and have

some work thru the week.  The build day was moved to avoid conflicts with Relay for Life.  If

you can help, please let Todd know.  We have volunteer sign up sheets.

 

>Entertainment- None
